I'm Speaking at Chicago Coder Conference

Introduction

CCC logoThe Chicago Coder Conference (CCC) is entering its fourth year of supporting and promoting the Chicagoland area’s technology community. The conference, which runs June 26th through June 27th 2017, boasts topics that include Agile, Architecture/Integration, Big Data, Cloud, DevOps, .Net, Java, Mobile, IoT, Robotics, Security, Tech Leadership and UX/Front End Dev and features over 100 sessions. This year I am pleased to announce that I will be presenting one of those sessions.

I will be presenting my session "Search Bogging You Down? Move it to the Cloud!" on the first day of the event. The presentation is intended to introduce cloud based search technologies, such as Azure Search, and how developers can leverage such a microservice in their solutions.

First Time Attendee

I'll be honest, this is the first time I will be attending the CCC. For that reason, I don't have anything unique to point out about the conference (yet). However, I have spoken with a few other past speakers about the event, and they highly recommended it to me, so I have high hopes.

My Session

See my session Monday June 26th at 2:30 pm at the Gleacher Center in Chicago, IL. The full abstract for my session is below.

Azure Search is a search-as-a-service from Microsoft that allows companies to integrate this powerful, REST-based platform into their applications quickly. Not to be left out in the crowd, Amazon CloudSearch also is a cloud based search product that provides popular search features for applications. Both services can index large volumes of log files and/or text content in real-time and allows users to query them in free form text using RESTful APIs. Join me to find out how you can employ one of these services to make the search experience on your ASP.NET website more accurate, faceted, and downright a pleasure to use no matter how much content you have.

That's All For Now

I'm excited to be speaking at the event, and I will try to update this post after the event with my slides
